Our first vintage of Casa de Vinas Carmenere adds a new expression to our vineyard-designated Carménère portfolio. Inky in color and rich in character, it offers layers of blackberry jam, fresh herbs, leather, chocolate, and cigar box. Bold on the palate yet soft on the finish, this versatile wine pairs beautifully with food and is just as enjoyable on its own.

The grapes for this wine are sourced from Casa de Vinas Vineyard, located in the central Livermore Valley. Planted in 2015, the Carmenere block consists of Clone 3 grafted onto 5BB rootstock and trained using a VSP (Vertical Shoot Positioning) trellis system. The vineyard sits on relatively flat terrain with clay loam soils, providing ideal growing conditions for developing concentrated flavors, balanced structure, and varietal expression.
